Mission Statement

Our mission is to support and advance vulnerable populations by developing and enhancing educational, social service, and economic opportunities. Our primary focus is to support these efforts in communities throughout the State of Michigan.

Areas of Funding

The De Groot Family Foundation awards grants to the following areas:

Human
Services

Economic
Development

Education

Health Services/
Medical Research

Animal Rights/
Services

*Discretionary funds may be used based upon availability of funding after primary grant requests are complete.

The foundation has a primary focus on local communities in Southwest Michigan, but does award outside of that area.
Grant requests outside of the local area will have to be reviewed and approved by the board of directors.
